Laser coding – efficiency equals savings
Laser coding has proven its worth for serialised packaging production. Both offset and flexo printed folding cartons can be given unique codes by laser for maximum efficiency, which helps to keep costs down – especially for longer runs.

Chinese codes – a challenge for pharmaceuticals
Packaging serialisation is compulsory for pharmaceutical products, however the type of code needed varies by country – from DataMatrix to Russian and Chinese codes. The latter can be particularly demanding for packaging manufacturers to apply.

Inline and offline coding – total flexibility
To implement Chinese coding quickly, and more importantly legibly, we’ve installed an additional laser coder at our certified pharmaceutical packaging site in Hungary.
This new machine enables us to apply the simpler codes inline, on our high-speed folder-gluer, and to serialise carton blanks (or lengthwise seam-glued packaging) offline for the more complex Chinese codes.
