Since 2010, STI Group has been a member of the leading global network for corporate social responsibility - the United Nations Global Compact.
This strategic initiative encourages companies to align their international business activities with ten recognised principles. These principles are associated with human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption, and come from the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles of Rights at Work.
STI Group was the first company in the corrugated cardboard industry to have its German production plants FSC® certified, in late 2008. Our international subsidiaries and sales offices followed soon after.
FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®, and the FSC® label confirms the promotion of sustainable forest management that is ecologically, socially and economically compatible.
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes is another scheme supporting the preservation and ecological balance of forests, so raw materials used within STI Group may also bear the PEFC™ logo.
STI Group actively supports customers in achieving their sustainability goals by offering climate-neutral packaging and displays. The CO2 value per order is calculated and offset via Climate Partner.
PAPACKS® develops and implements CO2-neutral, independent packaging cycles and solutions. Working together, we can produce environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging for our customers from, for example, fast-growing plants or secondary raw materials.
We are committed to continuously improving ethical, social and environmental conduct throughout our supply chain. Online databases Ecovadis and Sedex help to make STI Group's sustainability commitment even more transparent for our customers. We are networked with numerous customers through both platforms, and are physically audited by Sedex.
